Kids in Khayelitsha
This was the other side of Cape Town. Khayelitsha is the 2nd largest township in South Africa and a reminder of Apartheid. Blacks and other people of color were forced to move into segregated communities and since democracy (1994), are slowly trying to change the drastic differences in class between these townships and central Cape Town. Near the Wharf are pretty historic buildings and in these townships, people live in horrific conditions of shacks, shanties with high unemployment and no access to clean water, proper electricity and clean sewage.
