- Hey everybody, so Egypt was very everything we thought it would be and more! The "more" could be good or bad I'd say but all in all, Cairo and Alexandria were so fun. Our first day in Alexandria was so fun. We got a horse drawn carriage for the whole day and out "driver" took us around the whole city. We checked out the biggest library in the world, the catacombs where ancient royalty was buried, a really cool amphitheater built by the Romans and an awesome archaeological museum. Yes we saw some real mummies (it all reminded me of the Mummy movies personally) and poked around a little more to see some old Egyptian art. Something I've noticed so far here is that everybody's currencies are so much prettier than the U.S. Dollar haha. The Egyptian pound looks like legitimate artwork… The next day, we were off to Cairo for an overnight trip that we'd never forget.
- The bus ride was about three hours to Cairo and from the minute we got off, it was non-stop action for a couple days. We saw all the pyramids in chronological order, meaning we checked out the first one ever built and then went onto to the other "Great" Pyramids. SAS hooked us up at some 5 star restaurants and hotels that kind of spoiled us. After we checked in at our hotel and took a short siesta, we went to the Giza Plateau and saw a sound and light show for the Pyramids. It was a little corny but it was still worth it to see. After that, we went to sleep because we had to get up at 4 AM the next morning to see the Pyramids at sunrise! That was a really cool sight to see and possibly the best of the whole trip. Don't worry you'll be seeing plenty of pictures. Next up, we all rode some camels around the pyramids, which was an interesting experience for Andria and I because our camel was kind of a b**** haha. Nonetheless, it was all worth as our trip was capped off with a Nile River tour on a 5 star River Restaurant called the Nile Crystal.
- Other than that, we've had a relaxing time in Alexandria and we're moving on to Morocco! It'll be Andria's Bday there… We're very excited. Talk to you soon!
Love Andria and Kev
