Leaving in 11 Days!
Ok so here's a little update of what's been happening trip-wise since my first ever blog entry. So with regards to the rest of my India trip with an STA Travel organised, that's cancelled. I thought a lot about it and decided that I would have much more freedom to do what I want if I just went my own way so I could pick and choose my stops in India :-) So my India tour is as follows; I arrive in Delhi, spend a couple of days acclimatising before heading to the holy city of Varanasi on the Ganges river then after a few days on to Agra to visit the Taj Mahal and then on to Jaipur and then the desert at Jaisalmer for a camel trek before heading back to Delhi for my flight to Bangkok.
Over the last wee while I have spent rather a lot of time planning my activities in India and Asia but had so far overlooked probably the biggest portion of my adventure...Australia! I have since pruchased a Lonely Planet guide to East Coast Australia and I am about two thirds through Bill Bryson's 'Down Under'.
So blablabla..yadayadayada...lots of planning, reading, emails, bookings and boring people and what it all boils down to is...: I had my very last shift in Malmaison on Saturday, was very different as there was the first wedding on but it still felt very strange as it seemed like I went through the whole shift in a daydream reflecting on the last two and a half years and all the amazing people I have met, as much as the work was hard and the hours long, I will come to miss that place.
Right now I am in Ireland visiting my dear padre for what might be the last time in a wee while (unless he visits me in OZ fingers crossed ;-), with my brother and sister Liam and Ella, just here for a couple of days and then back to Aberdeen for my 23rd Birthday on Friday woop/eek (mixed emotions). And lots of binning the last of my unwanted crap and packing for I leave in 11 fricking days! Oh and I am also planning a party at my home so I can celebrate my last hours in Aberdeen with the people who made my time in this city.
