Hi just thought you would like to know how my travels are going.... well, i woke up early this morning, in a sunny part of the north west of england, a little town called bowden. I climbed out of my gravel pit and got ready for the hard days travelling ahead. My journery started on grange road and then i swiflty turned on to south downs road. Upon my travels i saw some great wildlife, a feathered creature, known to the locals as a Magpie. Then futher along i saw one of the natives walking next to an animal, a hairy beast this time, i believe this breed of animal is known as a Dog. The dog must have been in serious trouble as it was being pulled by what appeared to be a prison lead.
After getting over the excitment of seeing some wildlife, i then started to enjoy my route down 'tatton mile'. Its called tatton mile but infact its a lot longer than a mile. SO the logic behind this name baffles me. I must go to the tourist information point to clarify the reasons behind this. I eventually arrived at my destinaltion and 8:55am Greater manchester time and i had reached my destination.. Work.. I am currently at work now.. very busy.. hence why i could only leave you a quick post.
anyway i hope the chinese are looking after you..
and stay tuned for more carter adventures...
tomorrow highlights...
a trip down the AA56
Sean & Hardy
TOO FAR EAST
There are 3 words that we have come up with to describe Beijing........smoggy, congested and massive!!
The journey began indifferently....Hardy was taking great pleasure in abusing Shabaaz (the overly gay scottish air steward) only to get his come-upance when Shabaaz brought true meaning to the word karma when he proceeded to tip the breakfast tray all over the young homophobe's trousers. A mixture of laughter (Sean) and frustration (Hardy...whilst wearing a sleeping mask) prevailed.
We were driven from the airport to Beijing thru a cluster of smog, traffic and yellow men on bikes.... we pulled up outside the hostel which was situated amongst even more smog, traffic and yellow men on bikes....
Having slept off the jetlag and the copious consumption of free mile high alcoholic beverages the boys decided to venture out into the city streets of Beijing....quickly learning that we were the only westerners in town, hence the unwitting choice of pigeon pizza for tea (chinese menus are a bloody nightmare).
Although under regeneration Tiananmen Square and the forbidden city were still worth the visit but the great wall was incredible and so far the highlight of the journey....despite being severly hungover and having a kamikaze suicide driver on the 2 hour+ gung-ho trip. Beijing zoo's hygiene rivalled sean's room on a sunday morning after a rake of beers and a filthy kebab....but ironically hosted plenty of unhappy dogs....we made a swift exit to one of the city's best attractions; The Summer Palace which was a pleasant transition from the usual site of middle aged yellow women gobbing on the pavement and young chinkys relieving themselves at will.
Next stop Jinan which entails climbing Mount Tai (Xian, according to a Californian called Tyler "sucked balls"). We arrive on wednesday, on what we anticipate will be travelling like a bunch of African slaves on a banana boat.
Messages are always welcome
Yours for now

Sean lad, Oh what you are missing out on not being here. Today i have been to the local tip to dispose of the worlds first microwave (apparently there sending it on to knutsford museum & mike will be there as guest of honour later this month to cut the ribbon) and then took your cat with a bleeding ear to the vets, beat that.

I leave you gentleman with my final words of wisdom "for now, i have to much wisdom to simply keep it bottled up" Remember touching leads to kissing, kissing leads to sex and sex leads to babys. If you dont want babies (especially foreign ones) keep away from touching.
