Hi Everyone!
When it rains, it pours in Vietnam! We are just waiting for our first official "sleeper bus" to come and pick us up! I am not sure I can describe these buses but imagine two cots stacked on top of each other with a little cubby for your feet, now imagine 3 rows on these across a greyhound bus! Haha! Its about 12 hours to Hoi An from where we are now so wish us luck!
Yesterday Leanna and I got down and dirty in Nha Trang. We visited the mineral mud baths, they are sort of the equivalent of the Banff Hot SPrings for Nha Trang. You sit in these little tubs and they fill it up with warm mud...it was cool! Then you move from that tub, to another tub full of mineral water....and then to the big pool to swim around!
Today was a really fun day. We took a tour out to four of the islands around Nha Trang. We snorkelled and the visibility was really good, there were lots of fish and coral reefs for us to poke around at! Then the big excitement.....LEANNA PARASAILED! WOOHOO! We stopped at this little floating water sports place and they were taking people parasailing and Leanna stepped right up. She said she had some awesome views and it wasn't too scary! I was the photographer and kept two feet on the dock! The tour guides were really funny. At one point they all gathered together and formed a band, singing such classics as Yellow Submarine with one verse in english and then one in vietnamese. And there was more food then you can even imagine, a 5 foot by 5 foot table covered in food. Rice, soup, vegetables, bread, spring rolls, fish, noodles. Then 2 hours later they covered those same tables in fresh fruit! It was unbelievable!
Okay we are signing off! Sorry about the lack of blogging, but don't punish us by not posting any comments!
