Finally made it to the town of Versailles. Bought tickets and waited in line (queu) with thousands of tourists just to go through security. We walked shoulder to shoulder with a mass of humanity through the most opulent house in the world. Room after gaudy room of extreme wealth and excess. After seeing this, I now understand why the peasants revolted. I would have been mad at Marie Antionette, too.
Ate lunch at a neat little cafe called Chez de McDonalds. The Grande Mac was especially good! Only ate their because it was quick and easy and across the street from the train station. We caught our return train back to the city at 1:40.
