well.... itsd been a busy week,
monday
sight seeing all around bangkok, which was amaizing! we got taken for a ride on the fisrt day as a tuk tuk driver took us to see the sights telling us that is was a special day... well after we felt a bit special !! lol but was fun, on our tuk tuk ride we saw; tall standing budda, democracy monumnet, english nations, ministry of defence, justice and teritory. the city pillar shrine, wat mahathat yavarat rangsart, national museum and a few other temples, also seeing the outside of the grand palace and wat pho koew (reclining budda) the sights and full day was wicked and really enjoyed it. we also booked our tour for wednesday on our travels around in the tuk tuk
tuesday
we met izabele a german/italian lass who was lost, and looking for other places to go see, we decided to hang out for the day; which turned into a few days untill we met up with out treck group. that day we took a long tail boat trip down the river from tha ratchawongse to tha chang, this was a wicked ride as only cost like 8 pounds or so and took bout an hour; we got to see the wat arunrotcha wararam (temple) and visit the tha chang food market, the smells and sights of the food was wonderfull, and so we hung out and had lunch there. from the boat ride we went to see the reclining budda temople and looked around the grounds with spectacular veiws and sculptures. and in the evening we went out to dinner and relaxed in the bar opposite out hotel
wednesday
getting up early for our tour at 7.30am we went to the floating market, took a longtail boat ride, visited the ww2 cemitary, walked over the river kwai on the bridge where the tram train come accross and you have to stang on the side of the platforms on the bridge as it goes by, visited the tiger temple where we got to touch and get our picture taken with a tiger, saw the jubilee budda at the tiger temple. on the evening we went to the downtown china town where we treated ourselves and went into a reastaurant, and wondered around the streets and stalls wich was really cool.
thurday
in the morning (10ish) we made our way to the Grand palace and spent about 3 hours lookign around and taking in the atmosphere. we then met our group and leader in the afternoon and went out for dinner, and chilled out after again at the bar opposite the the hotel
friday
we where up at 9 to go visit the wat pho temple (reclining budda) with the group and got a really tour around rather than wondering around. then lunch with alice and jen and a wondeer down the market on the streets near our hotel, by this time it was time to leave for chang mai on the 10 hour (yet tuerned into a 15 hour) overnight train ride
right will have a brake and write more soon kxx pics are difficult to get on at the mow but will try get some on before we leave bangkok till later kx
