The de facto currency in Cambodia is the US Dollar. Everything is priced in dollars and the money that comes out of the ATMs is dollars. They do have thier own currency. The Riel. But the 4,000 Riel pictured here equal $1 so it's a bit impractical to carry around. It's used more as change. When dinner costs you $2.50 you give two dollars and 2,000 Riel.
