Dear friends and family, i'm not coming home. I'm loving it so much here in India that i'm staying. Here they call me Ma'am and Madam, they treat me like a superstar because of my hair colour and every stranger is just a friend you haven't met yet. We have made so many friends on this trip it's unreal, so i'm going to stay here and live with them all in a hut.
We arrived in Mamallapuram yesterday and we finally found the heat that you warned us about. Had dinner by the sea and visited some children in a local orphanage, then spent the evening drinking in one of the local bars where we made lots of new friends. One of which, had a particularly possessive girlfriend who rang him about ten times an hour. Each time he answered the phone, we had to switch the music off in the bar, and all sit in silence, so that she wouldn't think he was out partying! Anyway, tonight they have planned to close their bar early, so that we can all go to the beach for a party. Apparently, we are going to walk through the streets and gather other people, particularly those with guitars they tell me.
Well, speak soon, love claire (aka Clack - the Indians can't say claire...well, it was better than Clap, which one girl called me)
