Hello,

10 days into my trip and I have been to Singapore, Melbourne and now in Cairns...

I arrived in Singapore and got picked up from the airport in the morning by Harry - a friend from home. He took me to his apartment and after meeting his parott Georgie, we went out and had a glass of wine in the middle of the sweltering hot city. He had to go to work so I took a look around the shops, had some lunch and then swam in the pool at the apartment. We later went out that night with his Work mates and house mates Nick and Tiffany, we had a few drinks and went to a japanese BBQ restaurant. Getting drunk and trying not to burn yourself with a skewer is not clever, but very funny.
After food, we went up to New Asia Bar on the 70th floor of a skyscraper where we saw all of Singapore at night, very beautiful. The next thing I know were playing drinking games and we ended the evening dancing in addidas hoodies to drum n base music back at the flat with Georgie the parott perched happily on the TV.

The next day was spent lying on the sofa with a horrendos hangover amd eating pizza, but I am going to blame it on the jet lag - not the alchohol :)

I said my goodbyes the following morning and headed to Melbourne, Australia. After a long day of flying I reached the airport at 11:30pm, very tired, I dragged my backpack into the cab and went to St Kilda Beach hostel where Phelps was working. I put my stuff in my hostel room and went downstairs to party! I met all of Phelps' friends and we went to a 'club' called tongue and Groove which can only be described as a mix between Delano's and Jazzmins - just lovely. We got very drunk and I got back to my room at 7:30am - welcome to Melbourne Lucy.

I woke up still drunk (naturaly) and met phelps for a Nando's breakfast. Once we had sobered up he took me to the house I would be staying in for the next 4 nights. It was like a squat but 12 backpackers living there, I wanted to turn and run at first but then I got used to the dirt and matress with no sheet or duvet, and it actually grew on me like the mould in the bathroom. Everyone was really lovely and made a few friends there.

The next couple of days were spent sightseeing in the city and on the beach. I got stuck in a hailstorm on the beach and had to run home with no shoes on wrapped in a bin bag for 20 mins - I looked like a drowned rat.

Sunday was Future Festival!!! Artisits such as Prodigy, David Guetta and Empire of the Sun were playing, about 6 of us went to the Fest luckily dressed in my wellies as it proceeded to rain for the whole 8 hours we were there - so much fun though, prodigy were amazing and I was jumping round like a maniac.

Phelps and I went into the city on Monday, my last day, I bought some converse trainers and he showed me around town.
We spent that evening drinking the rest of the 5 litres of goon that I bought and went to bed for my flight to Cairns the next morning.

Yesterday I arrived in Cairns, had a look around, very beautiful place, very hot and humid and lots of tours to go on from here.
I did a bit of food shopping and sunbathed for a while by the lagoon, I felt very tired so I went back to my hostel room and slept until 8pm, I am only sharing my room with a very boring Korean girl who literally spends most of her day pottering about in the room. I cooked myslef a stir fry and after walking along the sea front of an hour I retired to bed.

Today I woke up early, had breaky, and booked to go on a tour of Cape Tribulation and Pourt Douglas for tomorrow.

Going to go for lunch now, will update again soon.
