Hi everyone!

We are loving life in Japan! It is absolutely gorgeous here and the people are very nice and courteous. We are also picking up a couple Japanese words here or there. Since it's "rainy" season, it rains pretty much rains for a short time every day - though thankfully no typhoons or monsoons to report of yet… We are slowly becoming more familiar with the island. When we aren't filling out paperwork and going to meetings for in-processing, we are trying to explore as much as possible to get a better feel for the neighborhoods. We found a really great market very close, so we can't wait to start learning how to make some real Japanese cuisine. We also went to a HUGE aquarium on the North end of the island recently, which was very fun!

We finally got cell phones. And some even better news… We found cars and a house! We will post pictures soon.

It is going to take some getting used to driving with the steering wheel on the other side of the car and driving on the opposite side of the road… But our house is great! It's a 30 second walk from a beautiful beach and only about five minutes away from our closest friends here. We are very excited! Since the house was already inspected, we get to move in on Friday. Even though we still have to wait a couple weeks for our shipments, most likely, which includes all of our stuff… We will keep you posted!
