Spent 7 hours today doing my lesson plan for the week! I wanted to do a lesson on Bonfire Night and it's amazing how when you start teaching you start anticipating all the questions your students may throw at you and then you realise how little you know. We found one shop selling them but there were just a stack of about 20 in about 3 designs and they all had Chinglish writing on them - Chinglish is when they have done a direct translation of English into Chinese with no regard for the English meaning or spelling - it is widely used in China and often results in some really funny signs and quotations.
