So plans changed slightly last night. Ended up going doctors as I've got tonsillitis, not fun but got a prescriptions for some antibiotics. So on the road, was dark by this point. Headed north for about 3 hours and then found a rest area for the night. Back on the road in the morning, this time we could see the landscape and it really is beautiful. Chels was pulled over for speeding haha, but some usual charm and we got off with a warning. Another 3 hours driv...

Well today we ticked another bucket list... The Great Barrier Reef! Was just how you would imagine, full of colourful coral and massive fish, was amazing! Went to two different location, and had a BBQ on the boat. Lots of people throwing up from the sea sickness. Back on land and having showers on the beach. Had to stay a little longer than planned in Cairns as the reef tours were all booked up over the weekend. But it's time to move on now, leaving tonight ...

Went back to the campsite last night, decided while in a city there's no point driving round trying to find a place to park for the night, when for $15 we can have toilets, showers and no worries about a fine. Crazy camping with a load of Australians just on holiday themselves. So we did the minjin jungle swing today. 164ft in the air, basically a massive swing in the jungle! It was one of those things where on the way up you feel like you're going to throw up,...

Today's been yet another cracking day. No hangover to start with which was a bonus. Chels needed to wash her hair this morning after taking a 3am swim in the lagoon... Nutter. And then we were off. We did a sky trail today over the Daintree Rainforest. Views were insanely beautiful. We also had a gorgeous walk along the Barron River. Got some great snaps using my new camera (Thanks Tim!!!). Dinner was amazing tonight. Probably the coolest thing I've ever done....

So found a nice little campsite last night, pitched up and got settled for the night. Pretty descent nights sleep and was lovely waking up, opening the doors and being in the wooden campsite. Headed back into central cairns where we did some shopping and was able to Skype mum and dad, which was very lovely.
