Yesterday, we went to El Escorial, which is a palace and moestary for the kings and qyueens of Spain, and it had thetombs of all the old dead kings and queens. It was kind of cool. I had a lot of fun. After that we walked aroundt he snmall town of San Lorenzo, near madrid. It was cute but everything was closed for the siesta at the time we were there. After that we went up an entire mountain to see La Valle de Caidos. There is a giant cross on top of the mountain, and we got to go all the way up and see it. I was amazed. :)
Since yesterday was the 4th of July, a bunhch of us girls went to a resturante called American Restaurante. It was fun. I had abig juicy mushroom burger with cheese, crappy fries (i tried) and then this hugggge pieceof chocolate cake with whipped cream. I am sorry to say I ddid not order a beer on our countries birthday....but I really dont like beer and it costs alot, haha. Although, there were alot of american students in the restaurant, and we all sang out Loud, America the Beautiful, all the spainsh waitors and cooks thought it was the funniest thing. Last night Piedad taught us spanish cuss words. It was fun.
I cant wait to come home though! I am so burned out on this language!
