So the overnight train here was a bit different to the ones to Chiang Mai and Bangkok they were tiny, the beds were half the size i was convinced i was gonna roll off the top bunk in the middle of the night! We arrived in Koh Sok after the long bus journey and we are staying in these little bungalows in the jungle and they are sooo cute. Me and Hannah are sharing which im pretty glad about as would not like to be in one of these on my own! we had a few options of things to do while we are here and the whole group decided on going tubing in the National park. when we got there we quickly realised this wasnt the sort of tubing we were expecting . . . we basically just sat in a cold river in a rubber ring while 2 thai guys pulled and pushed us all along for about 2 hours . . . it was sooooo boring! If anyone is thinking of doing it DONT!!! seriously not worth it at all! Infact i wouldnt reccomend Koh Sok at all.
After Tubing we went to see the monkeys and fed them bananas, they were really cute and there was this little gibbon that was like a baby that we could stroke. Ken took a few of us to go and actually see the national park before it closed and while we were walking towards it i couldnt help but notice all the people who were leaving were covered in blood. I asked Ken what it was and he said it was Leeches! As the Park is pretty wet they are everywhere and crawl inside your shoes and suck your blood . . . well that freaked me out big time! i wouldnt go near any grass and everytime we saw a leech i just ran away and couldnt wait to get back to the room.
As it got dark this we heard this really loud piercing screaming sound and Ken told us it was the Sakata's and that it would be going on all night . . . . another reason to love this place! We had dinner and there was a powercut and it started raining so again i freaked out about leeches coming out and we ran back to our room.
All in all not the best place i have ever been! Quite glad we were only here for 1 night.
