hehe a shark! scary huh?! hello! sorry about the time ive taken to write another one!
we're now in Australia, where did i leave u? Hong Kong. That place is awesome!
well, on our first day in Australia, we decided to go shopping, as i only had winter clothes, and it was toooooo jolly hot to wear those!! we found this department store type thing, which was full of surfy shop outlet stores, that was pretty nice, and cheap! after a few fun filled hours, we wandered out onto the street. after a while, we started notice quite afew asian people walking around, and signs on the wall written in Chinese. How very odd, i thought we'd left China?!?! Turns out we'd ended up in China Town! how typical is that!? the chinese had folowed us all the way to Australia! AAAAHHH!!
we've done all those delightful touristy things, that the whole world seems to be doing at exactly the same time!! stood outside the Opera House, saw the Harbour Bridge. we didnt actually do the bridge climb because we're too cheap for that! its very expensive for us backpackers!! Darling Harbour, which i really liked! its much smaller than sydney harbour, and nicer, i felt! Also went to Sydney Aquarium! on a day that it absolutely pissed it down!! saw lots of lil fishys! and some seals! went swimming with the sharks, hence where the pictures from... his name's Bruce! Got to feed him as well! Only joking! Dont worry mummy and daddy, dont have a heart attack! gosh im funny! ha ha ha!
For New Years Eve we went to the Botanical Gardens. got there at 1pm, n joined the biggest queue ive ever seen! it went all the way around this park, and then doubled back on itself! finally got through the gates at 3pm, and had to try n find a space to park our bums for the next 9 hours! we didnt have a very good view, so after an hour of drinking we went for a wander! out of 25'000 people, who did we spot?! ross, ollie and struds! how delightful! so we crashed on their lil party, not to mention a faaaarr better view of the fireworks than we had originally! At 9pm they did the fireworks for the kiddies, which was pretty amazing! then we all sat around drinking till midnight! the fireworks were absolutley awesome!! lasted for about 15mins, such an amazing place to spend it! although , they had a lit up coathanger on the bridge, which all of the tourists and foreigners really didnt understand!! turns out, thats what the bridge is nicknamed!? i dont really get it, but oh well!
gotta go now! il be on again soon! to finish of our oz adventure so far!
hope all is well! thanks everyone for the messages! we really appreciate it! love to all!
