Michelle and I left Florence, AL at about 0800 hours and headed north. We decided to stop at the Frank Lloyd Wright house on the way out of town. It was not open that early for a tour, but we were able to take some pictures of it. Linear, clean, different from the whole neighborhood.
We also decided to take the Natchez Trace Parkway towards Nashville. Very nice woodsy drive, even though Michelle was suffering from lead-foot and got a speeding ticket (71 in a 50) from a very nasty trooper. We stopped about halfway through it to see the little waterfalls and take a short walk through the woods. Loved the luscious horsefarms along the way, with the huge ranch houses. Must be nice to have that much money!
Stopped in Nashville for lunch and a quick walk down Broadway. There was a football game going on at the stadium, but downtown was pretty dead. We walked down to the river and took pictures at the cool old wooden fort. Michelle and I were both a little disappointed in Nashville, but I had to remember is was a Sunday, in the bible belt!
Back on the road by 1430 hours, and to Michelle's by 2000 hours. Long day!
