Left at 0700 and rode 500 feet for breakfast because the sky looked like it was going to open up. Did the Tunnel of Trees, then stopped for custard at Bop-In in Bay View, Michigan. Stopped for lunch in at a bowling alley/restaurant called Tucker's in a cute little town called Northport, Michigan. We rode by the lake almost all day today. Just really gorgeous scenery. Onward to Ludington, Michigan tonight. Severe thunderstorm on the way...so we booked! Nice...

Left Kakabena Falls at 0600 this morning in a slight rain, which turned into a torrent shortly thereafter, and did not let up all day. It was also extremely foggy. I have never ridden that long in both bad rain AND fog. Pretty intense riding. I don't mind rain OR fog, but this was the worst of BOTH and for a very long ride. Beautiful sunrise over the lake this morning in Paradise, MI. Left the hotel around 7am to head to the Berry Patch in Paradise as we were told they opened at 7am. We all pulled up in front of this tiny place, and the "closed" sign was still up. I went to the door and peered in, and there was a little old man inside, so I cracked the door and asked if they were open. He said he was making the coffee and the cook would be there at 0730, so we waited! Good breakfast...

Heading to Paradise, Michigan today. The Street Glide had 1000 miles on it in 2011 when we did this trip last time. Now, it has 32,000! Everyone was on time to meet the Cracker Barrel in Sheffield Village, OH at 0700 this morning, and we had a quick breakfast and headed out toToledo to meet up with the last member of the group, Davy B. Then, northward! One couple lost a helmet off the back of their bike in Toledo, but it was quickly recovered. Beautiful day...

I must be tired. We did the Tunnel of Trees TODAY! Oh well, you get the general idea... Only rode 280 miles today, but it was a very nice day! NO RAIN on the entire trip! We had a 10-second shot of sprinkles on day 3, but that was it. We missed all the big storms. Stayed in a really ****** motel, looked like the only one in town.
