Just thought I'd inform you that I now know the difference between a simple, compound and complex sentence...so I am no longer a let down to the English profession. Just in case you want to know: Simple sentence: one clause/one verb Compand: two clauses that can stand alone and are generally joined by connectives such as and Complex: made up of one or more main clauses and a subordinate clause You never know you may need this knowledge one day to impress and fit surfer dude!!!!
