Hello....As we have been so so busy I am going to briefly let you know what we have been up to and complete our blog properly on my return ready to print with pictures and minus spelling mistakes that there must be tons of!
We safely got to New Zealand and were gret and very well looked after and fed by Caroline and Tim! We saw lots of the North Island over the 5 days we were there! Auckland harbor, the ice bar, walking shell beaches, shopping at bottony bay, university life in Hamilton with Max and Annabell, black water rafting which was great fun, to C&T's farm & 20 acres of land which is amazing! There we went quad biking, shooting rifles and then we did clay pigeon shooting and wood chopping (Sorry to the Arrowsmiths for not knowing the gun names) lots of walking and taking in the views, we saw a few scenes where they filmed Lord of the rings which was cool. We also went to Taupo thermal hot pools, Huka falls which were beatiful and to the craters of the moon which were stinky and hot! We sampled hoky poky ice cream and Luke other Kiwi foods as well. We really fit as much as we could into New Zealand and C&T couldnt have hosted us any better!
We then arrived in New York - We were upgraded for free to premium on our flight to NY from LA which was a ral treat - our flight home got cancelled so we rebooked onto one that brings us home for Saturday night rather than the morning now! I am still working on this! We have been to the Empire state building, rockerfella centre, statue of liberty, some fantastic restaurants we have been so lucky treating ourselves! I spent all of my original shopping budget which I re-evaluated in one day!It was extended a little! We have covered all areas of manhattan now except upper east side which we plan to do tomorrow! We walked everywhere on our first couple of days and blistered our feet, we hobbled around like a pair of cripples which was very funny! We over spent on taxis as well so invested in Metro passes to get us around the city which is not as nice as taxis but is saving us lots of money! We spent many hours at central park taking all of the different areas in doing lots and lots of different things! They have a 30 court tennis club that charges 60pounds an hour! (No pound signs on these computers) We have shopped loads! We had Lion King tickets and I got the form out last night ready to go today and the tickets were in fact for last night - I was distraught! We went straigh to the theatre today to see if they could help and we went back as the show was about to begin and the very lovely manager allowed us in - with an upgrade of seats! The show is the best ive seen to date! I could have cried with happiness and relief! We are going to cover Central Park and the Meatpacking district a bit more over the next couple of days - and Im sure another couple of trips to a few shops will be all good!
Look forward to seeing everyone! :)
