We arrived in Ko Tao after a sleepy boat journey over from Ko Phangnan and had to haul our bags up and down hills in search of somewhere to stay! Eventually we found a nice little bungalow on a cliff overlooking the sea with a nice little patio. After the exertions of the fullmoon all we really wanted to do was relax for a few days. So we went to the beach a lot and played a lot of chess on our patio. The Ko Tao Chess masters series ended in a 9-8 victory to me with Rory conceding stalemate in a winning position so it couldnt have been closer! When we were feeling particularly adventurous we would go and play mini golf just down the road! It was really good to have a bit of a detox and a bit of a slower pace!
On the day we left for Bangkok I was inexplicably ill, throwing up for around half an hour and then I was fine. I hadnt even eaten anything so it was really weird. The journey passed off without a hitch although it was pretty long leaving at 830am and arriving at 9pm!
