I am now at Palolem Beach in Goa. We've been here for a couple of weeks as Sam has been a bit ill and as it is now the end of his holiday, we have just been relaxing instead of busy sightseeing.
Palolem is a nice big crescent shaped beach and there are also a couple of smaller beaches further along the coast to go and see.
However, we've mainly stayed here and I've been enjoying my little routine here of getting up for a morning yoga class, having a leisurely breakfast of either muesli, fruit or pancakes and then spending the day relaxing on the beach. I am getting through a lot of good books and have gone several shades darker, although Sam is ahead in the suntan stakes and I am happy to let him prematurely age rather than me.
My yoga is coming on a treat and I can hold a slightly wobbly headstand for a few seconds, easily touch my toes again, easily do a crab, hold a shoulder stand with my feet touching the floor next to my head and also kick up from a bridge position into a shoulder stand.
The food is great here and there are lots of little restaraunts that even serve things like banoffee pie (a rare treat in India and one that Sam has had every day since he got over his stomach bug).
I think I will move on after Sam has gone and get back into the swing of things with travelling as I will be in India for another two months and there is still lots more to see.
Will update soon.
