Hi de hi my beauties!!
Again I have failed epically at remembering to write a blog entry every day...ooops! I guess it has been a mixture of being rather busy and most times only havig my phone, which I must admit is hard to write a big ol blog on a phone!! MUCH easier on a PC!
So let me think...the last time I wrote a blog I had spent my first few days in San Rafael (just a few miles from San Francisco). I continued to scope out as many dance classes as possible while in the Bay area and I LOVED the FCBD classes (and the shop!!). I learnt a lot there and loved the teachers and students. I also got my fair share of Suhaila classes...got my arse well and truly in those classes but twas AWESOME! Unfortunately due to me legs not turning out enough for specific exercises in class, I now have sciatica but have been told that it is just a temporary thing *crosses fingers* I also got to meet up with some amazing friends in Oakland, who showed me the delights of vegan donuts and blue bottle coffee *drools* an extremely blissful combination I can tell you! I know what you're thinking, "vegan donuts??" I admit I was sceptical but instead of butter coconut oil is used and they tasted exactly like the fresh donuts you get on the piers back home!! I had some stressful times in San Francisco which I am going to choose not to write about. One of my new favourite people told me last night to focus on the great things I've done on this journey and not the bad...so that is what I'm going to do ^_^
Came back to the gorgeous Oregon state last week...I think it was the 10th of September. And sampled some delicious cocktails mixed by a truly skilled barkeep :D I unfortunately sampled a little too much but twas great at the time but the recovery was a smidge torturous! I must remember not to drink alcohol!! Lol! A few days later I had me photo shoot with Mr Wick and I was petrified! It's amazing how something as simple as a photo shoot can make you feel so nervous! Thanks to a dash of whiskey, ginger beer and The Pipe I got me game face on and got to work! It was funny how comfortable it actually felt or maybe that was the whiskey coursing through me veins! To anyone that has the opportunity to get a photo shoot with Wick, DO IT! I can't wait to see the results!
After saying goodbye to my hosts and the Clackamas river, I came back into Portland on the 19th of September to stay wiht a great friend of mine ^_^ It's amazing staying with someone who I saw at the start of my journey and now I see her dreams and hard work paying off! It's exciting and inspiring! It gives me hope that it is doable and I will get my arse into gear when I get back home. My two words that I will keep in the front of my mind through everything I do from now on are "Unwavering Determination". I have spent my last few days in Portland, meditating and centring myself in preparation for normality back in the UK. I was lucky enough to get a musical healing last night from a very talented young healer called Matthew who has just moved to Portland. Using the tibetan bowls to realign my spine and thoughts through the gorgeous vibrations and tones that the bowls create. Meditating throughout the experience was incredible. I have never seen a chakra colour show like I did with the Tibetan bowls and will definitely be investing in some when I'm home!!! It's also strangely emotional and I felt really overwhelmed after the healing. I am so grateful to Matthew and wish him all the luck on his new adventure in Portland!
I am so incredibly excited to be going home on Monday...mainly to see my family and friends. I am going to miss Portland so much. This is the first time I have felt 100% at home and myself in a city or place of any kind. I feel like I'm already home and I'll be back very soon....It makes me realise just how long I have been on this journey and I can't believe I've actually been doing this!! It's going to be hard but I will maintain the positivity and serenity that I have found within myself when I'm back in the UK.
So yesm this will be me last blog as tomorrow will be more meditation and preparation for the journey home on monday. I would just like to thank everyone who supported me throughout this. Thank you for all the comments, messages, and skype sessions! And thank you so much to all those I met on this adventure, gave me a place to stay, new experiences, soul healing conversations and so much more!
Thank you all so much for being on this ride with me! The Pipe and I are eternally grateful!
To those in the UK I will be seeing you and smooshing you very VERY soon!!! To those everywhere else, til we meet again, which I am positive is a certainty *tips hate and The Pipe*
Much love to you all!
