So here I am.... off the road... stopped again in another mates home. This time I'm with my old work mate, tash. The 2 weeks in the camper sandy, smelly and very fun! We first stopped in Mission Beech for a few nights, until the sun appeared. The rain was pretty bad, but we caught plenty of fish for tea which was fun. After this was Townsville where I meet some cool aussie mates and stayed with them for a wknd. Then we set off to magnetic island. We only planned to go for a day trip, but once there we decided to stay over night (erm with now change of clthes, toothbrush or clean towel, which was interesting) we explored the different bays, i did some snorkelling and got to hold crocs, lizards. echidna's, snakes and a KOALA!! then we went on a little bush-trail and there were ten's of butterflies all floating about - it was like a little fairy land. then the guide told us we could eat green ants.... of course everyone looked at her in disgust until she asked who else wanted to try it...... me? of course i did! i tasted like lemon! but dont' worry i won't be drastically adapting my diet to include ants! Then we moved further down thre coast to Airlie Beach, which was beautiful. lots of boats and yachts in the bay and a very random night out with a big curly haired girl and a skinny dutch dude. Then through Ayr and Rockhampton and we landed in Hervey Bay - WOW!! this bech was my favourite so far - i spent a whole day watching the pelicans (which are nearly as big as me) as then shuffled up next to fisher men on the beach to try an get some fish... very funny. Pictures to come i promise! Then we wizzed through Noosa Heads (will be going back, as i will be going to do whitsundays and fraser, don't worry - couldn't miss them badgers out) Some some real surf in Noosa. tash said she'll take me up there for night out too... wooo!! So then we hit Brsbane where there was a bit of a storm, with mental lighting... we got up early , washed the van and returned her... and now im sat in Brsbane about to go onto sites to find temp owrk until i go back up to do the islands in a few weeks!
