Well here we are home and hard to believe we were ever away - except for all those fantastic memories.
We had a great time in LA with Brad and Carin and the girls- made up for not getting an earlier flight home.
I should add that Qantas redeemed itself by upgrading me to business class for the trip home!!! I was so mad when i found our that we were not sitting together in the premium class seats that i had booked through frequent fliers and tried my hardest to get them changed so that we were together. When we got on the plane, Sam asked the lady next to him if she would swap with me, but she wanted her window seat so i wandered back to look for mine, only to discover that I had a capsule seat that converted into a flat bed, so i quickly told Sam not to worry about it, and chortled for the next 1/2 hour as I discovered all the beauty of business class. Sam had a brief stint in upper class living when my neighbour wanted to swap to be near friends until he realised that he didn't have as good a seat back there and swapped back. I think the lady sitting next to Sam was keen to swap when she found out what kind of seat I had... but too bad... you snooze, you lose!!!! Oh I love business class on a 15 hour flight - the first time i have slept on a plane, and especially for so long.
It is great being home - there really is no place like Australia, especially the beaches.. in the whole world, as far as we have seen, but we are keen to go again as soon as we can - maybe not for so long next time though.Ah the life of a gypsy.
Our family are all back together again in Adelaide, with most of our extended family and our friends. Life is good.
