Known to us as Fruit Machines, these span a fair few square metres of all drinking establishments. Apparently you're not allowed to take photos - but me in my ignorance wanted to demonstrate to all of you back home the expanse of 'Pokies' - I hate that word! And I don't understand the rules like I never understood fruit machines! I'll just let the others enjoy them. Besides, most players are retired ladies, and they take they're pensions along, get it all converted into 5 cent coins (you can't get 1 or 2 cent coins in Australia) and play all day! It's a retirement vocation apparently!
