Sam and Becca's Adventure
A day or to later we had to catch a flight to Chiang Mai where we were going elephant trekking for 3days. We were greeted off the plane by a man with a sign that said our names on it. Just like in the movies. Then was taken to our hotel which was even better than the last. 2 men took our backpacks for us and took them straight up to our rooms. Definatly 5 star. We arrived at 1 and by half past we fell asleep waking up a 7ish then going to a night market. The next day we had to get sorted for our trek, we had to get or bags sorted that we were taking. The next day the truck was picking us up at 10ish were we met all the people who we were gonna be with for the next 3 days. They were Johnathan and Kelly, Marcus and Robbo, Amer and Sean, Monique and alisa and of course me and Quinny. We were on our way. We were on the road for an hour then when we stopped we were giving our lunch then explained the itinary. Our tour guide called Jungle Jim explained to us all that after lunch we would set off for about 3 hours hiking to the village where we'd stay the night. 3HOURS? HIKING? These were just a few questions running throught my brain but they were soon answered when we were jumping over rivers and climbling more mountains. It was harsh. Sam lost her water so we had to share which soon went. Amer, noticed we were both struggling and took both of our bags and squeezed them in to his and carried them for nearly the whole way. Good old boy. It felt like the hike was never going to end. Being at the back the whole way we got to no the other tour guide called T-bone who was really sweet and funny. He helped us get through it. We finally made it to the hut where we stayed with the Headman Family were we had dinner and watched the local children dance for us. Later we played cards and stuff as there was no electricity. After that we went to bed, being the last ones to go cause we were too scared we realised we needed to of sorted our beds out earlier because of creepy crawlys getting in. It had a moskito net over a mat on the floor. The net was suppose to stop the cockroaches getting in when they drop from the ceiling but unfortunatly our net had wholes in so some had already managed to get in which wasnt a pleasent experience. T-bone got them out then we lied there wondering how long it was going to take us to get to sleep. Thats if we wee brave enough to sleep at all. It was 35c and we both had our trouses tucked into our sock and our hoodys done right up with the hood up and that tucked in to our trousers. It was boiling. Oh yeah I also have the extra added heat from Sams body were she wouldnt unttach herself from me. Id try to slowly pull away just to get a slight bit of air but ther was no ecscaping her. After a awful night sleep we were made breakfast then we set off to a waterfall where we had a swim in with everyone else. There was no so much walking involved in today which was always a good thing to hear. That night we stayed at a different camp which was slightly nicer and we was giving our dinner and had a few beers with everyone else.
