Sam and Becca's Adventure
Well well well...We've made it here and in one piece! Its now day 2 of our big adventure into the unknown.
It all started on March 2nd when our good old chum mich took us along with lisa to Heathrow airport to catch the first of many flights.
Time 1900 - should be sitting on the plane...and would be if it hadn't been delayed for 2 hours. We didn't let this spoil our mood though and just waited patiently for the problem to be fixed.
The flight went smoothly and we met a german friend called Tobias, who gave us free tickets to watch a german play with chinese subtitles lol We politely declined.
12 hours later we were in Hong Kong airport, the view whilst flying in had been breath - taking lol
We then got bus A21 to Mong kok the region of Kowloon we are staying in. We got off the bus and entered a world of chaos...millions of people every where bustling about, really bright lights illuminating the city and there we were...all alone in the big wide world with our even bigger backpacks. We managed to push our way through the crowds of people and found our hostel.
Hostel - 7 stories up in a rackety old lift, through a metal gate into some random chinese persons house. There we were greeted by Stanley who spoke broken English.
Room number 3 - 2 dwarf sized beds, 1 crumbling bedsit cabinet with 2 pairs of skanky flip flops in there which we later discovered was to stop our feet getting wet when using the toilet (see later section on shower), before we forget one small detail...theres NO window!!
