And we took a tour of the submarine Onslow which was decommissioned in 1999. The sub was the most exciting part of the museum for me. 68 men cramped in these quarters for 5 months at a time seems unbelievable. She was 300 feet long, a 25 foot beam and carried 18 torpedoes

This is the Museum with one of its exhibits, a replica of a 17th century Dutch sailing ship.

Today we were awoke by and extremely loud thunder and lightning storm around 6 am. It lasted about an hour and then it was time to get up anyway. Since it was to rain all day we decided to go to the Australia National Marine Museum in Darlings Harbour, just a short walk away. This is the foot bridge over the harbour and the Museum is just on the other side.

One last pic for today. This is George Street in downtown. We weren't susposed to be on it. When we got off the train we went out the wrong exit and then turned the wrong way. The hotel was susposed to be only one block away. After several blocks we decided we better check our map, and sure enough, not only were we walking the wrong way, we were two streets over. I should have listened to Grammi when she said to go right, not left, as I insisted.
