Today we caught the ferry that was opposite the hotel. This morning we expressed our Balcony Envy to Sanga. Would you believe someone had cancelled and when we got home all of our stuff had been moved into the newly available room. When booking the rooms I didn't think we would worry about a balcony, but it makes the room so much more spacious and there is nothing more relaxing than watching the river flow by. We had a rush to get to our next destination – The Rhein in Flammen at Oberwesel. Our journey to Sankt Goar was about 4 hours. From there it was a quick freshen up to get to the train to the next town which was Oberwesel. Once at Oberwesel we had to pick up the tickets for the boat from within the wine festival. We dropped off our washing at the laundromat, grabbed a map from the info centre, and started wandering around the southern end of town and the old town. Checked out the streams, Stan found numerous little trout which duly impressed Sabina. The Tin museum was also quite good, regretted not buying a big chess set of the Romans verses the Germans. After a lovely breakfast down near the Hackercher Markt Bahnhof, Dave and Stan headed off to get our BMW hire car. They got it all right then proceeded to drive around Berlin for 10 mins, only to end up back at the place where they had picked the car up.
