"Dash-ville" is correct! It was a mad dash through the great city of Nashville. We couldn't miss the Johnny Cash museum as it was a must-do surprise for Bowen. It is a wonderful tribute to the Man in Black.
We left Nashville for the day to drive up to Mammoth Cave and Bowling Green, Kentucky. Beth's mother was born and raised in Bowling Green and spent most of her childhood visiting her cousins in this great part of the country. We were lucky to swing by the house that her grandparents built in the 1930's of which her grandmother lived until she was in her 80's and moved into a nursing home. The house was recently sold and is currently vacant. We found an unlocked door and toured the home. Although much has changed, the fond memories and stories were fun to share. The boys enjoyed this much more than we expected. We had dinner with Beth's Uncle and Aunt and then headed back to Nashville.
