Hello everyone, ok so where to start!!! i arrived in hong kong tues 21/09 4 pm hong kong time after a very uncomfortable flight squased by two randoms!!!We got the train to Kowloon to our hostel, chunking mansions( not quite) the enterance to our hostel was a market where everytime we walked in we got pestered but after a few days we have learned to ignore them!after finding our hostel threw the hustle and bustle our room was nice with ac! whoo didnt expect that one!
Ok so our 1st day, fel wel rough from jet lag, lack of rest and food and tottaly not aclimitized to the heat!!! was wel stuffy and hot!!but we powered threw it and got the star ferry over to Hong kong island! pritty cool ferry seemed the most acessible way to get across to the island! Then the map reading began we walked a lng way to find these bolotonical gardens, which were nice however with the sun beating down at like 12 they didnt seem worth the effort! but neverthe less im glad we went as it was on our list of things to do!After we had exhausted ourselves we thought a bus tour would be a good plan!!! i fully fel asleep for half of the tour though, oops i just couldnt do it!!!!!!After my sleep/bus tour we went to the bank of china to see the views on the 43rd floor these were pritty amzazing(will add pics at a later date). we had tea out in bubba gump then got the star ferry back to the habour at kowloon then walked bak to our hostel and went straight to sleep. On our 2nd day, we got on a bus tour around kowloon to eye out things we wanted to see. Later on we got the star ferry across to hong kong island and got the bus to victoria park, we were going to go swimming, but the only day we picked was the day it was shut for a gala. typical! So we had some lurvely noodles which were the eqivelant of 70p! after this we got a bit lost and couldnt find these lions which to rub the pours was good luck, eventually we found them after we realsied we had been walking in the wromg direction 4 about ab hour!!In the evening we went to ocean park, for a haloween theme night that was lots of fun, we went in the haunted houses, i fully jumped everytime!!!!Had a chat with a girl who was from hong kong, about what it was like to live here! she said it was exteremly safe and no trouble and that the average wage was about the equivelant to 700 pounds for graduates per month!and that to live in a semi nice place in the city would be about 1,000 english pounds a month! In general the people seem really friendly, not first off but if you ask them for help they will straight away help you with no problem at all!! also i found that that people seem to to obedient and that not much law enforcement is needed and also people seen generally stress free and easy going!!!We also went for a couple of drinks after on hong kong island alonge this street full of bars was pritty cool!!!On day 3, we went back to ocean park to see the panda,s they were soooo unbalievable cute, they had been rescued from an earthquake a number of years ago! After this we we went on a couple of rides which were fun the raging river and the runaway train!afater we got a rtaxi to Aberdeen which was a gorgeous beech where we chilled 4 the fisrt time in days! un until then we had been on our feet all day everyday!!After our small but well needed rest we went to the famous jumbo restauranet, famous for being floating and you have to get to it via boat!!! pritty cool hey!!!The food was lovely and the view over the harbour was too but we were both soooo tired it took from the expereince! but was glad we went:). ok day 4, feeling like iam getting used to this different sleep zone at last!we got the ferry over to macau vhinses las vagas(china) so needed our passports n ev to get threw! after a boar ride of an hour which felt like a train ride we arrived!!! we wnet to thr famous Wynn cashino after getting a free bus from the habour pritty cool! we played on the slot machines, i fully got id when i got in, heheh:)!!!!managed to actually make some money on the slot machoines by pure cahnce not by skill as i had no idsea what u was doing but i was ok with that!!! its all about the expereince heheheh!!!after this we went to the macau tower to admire the views amazing!saw some poeple doing bungy jumps off it too!!!after this we went to look at the venetian, which was this massive cashino where we got lost on the way out!the cashinos reminded we of the film oceans 11!!ok so today day 5, were going to the jade market then the temple street market, then tomorrow its a day at the beach then were getting the sleeper train from hong kong to Bejinge ready 4 our tour on 4th oct!ok so thats my blog so far will update more when i can and upload some pics!!!! hope everyone is well!!! keep me posted with what ure up to too!!! loads of love roz x x x x xmhaw x x x
