25/01/2012: Reunification ExpressWe left you guys in Hanoi, from where we hopped on the Reunification Express, a sleeper train that connects Northern and Southern Vietnam, from Hanoi to the former capital, Saigon/ Ho Chi Minh City. When we got off the plane in Ha Noi it was raining...:( and so it stayed. The weather here is not fantastic and very cold. When coming from HK to Hanoi we got a little bit o culture crash. Not very developed comparing to HK, Hanoi is quite filthy and non-hygienic. People to their dishes on the sidewalk, rats wondering around like on a parade, asian spit all over the place and they eat all sort of weird foods. Everything from dog to frog, including pigeons. Hong Kong: days 1-33 airplanes, 2 buses, 10 mtr's, 1 boat ....got us in HK. A vibrant city that never sleeps. We stayed at the 17th floor in a small room and had a great host,Harry from India. The AC cooling units buzzed constantly so in the end we thought it was a heavy summer rain and fell asleep. Home again, for a while... i keep looking at the pictures from Africa, and i really miss being there and I miss some people... Some memories of South Africa and CApe Town, after a period of 2 month that I spent in Romania, not much that I remember, but the time there had to be lived intensively so I didn't hav eto much time to write the blog...happens !:) After "a few drops of wine" with the new friend sI have made...:) A huge variety of landscapes, ...
