As you can see there is just a bit of snow around in Chicago. Today we pick up the car and plan to travel as far as Bloomington Illinois. The waether forecast fo Chicago says that by Wednesday and Thursday the temperature will have dropped to between 12 and 18 degrees F. Glad we are leaving.
We should be well clear of this and further south where the temperatures are better.
We have walked all over Chicago and done most of the touristy things. Unfortunately Wrigley Field was closed so couldn't visit the home of the Cubs.
The Chicago Science Museum was a real highlight and we got to go through a German U Boat, U Boat 505 captured during the war and finally brought to Chicago.
There was also a large exhibit of Walt Disney and his work which was also fascinating
As yet we are to finish a meal as the serves are obscenely large.
The hotel in Chicago has been comfortable and is centrally located, enablong us to walk everywhere
so, off to Bloomington, will keep you posted.
