Rosie takes over the world!! (solo styly)
oh lord, ive left it so long since ive updated and now im in new zealand writing about my journey from sydney to melbourne. and what a journey it was. so i hopped back on the oz bus very erly in the morning on like the 23rd, unknowingly leaving my IPOD behind at the hostel, what a wombat! (dont worry theyre sending it home for me, such a lucky b*****!) yep so on the oz bus and i met a group of people and i driver i fell in love with. the group consisted of myself, four wicked people from london (annie, josh, ben and kate) and our driver kokoda whose real name is craig, but hey, hes an oz driver...none of them have REAL names!
so australia won the football match whilst i was elaving sydney and ude think they won the world cup, horns blasting people screaming and running up and down the streets...so i fell asleep. we got off in canberra...the capital of australis..yes the capital and my god...BORING. they have parliament buildings (in which theres a picture of the queen making a speech and people in the audience are falling asleep...RUDE), a war memorial (which is pretty cool) and a cute town, excuse me, city. off on the road again (its cold and freezing and i speak to my dad informing me its too hot in england, god damn. we arrive at lake jindabyne (where??) for the night. ah yes forgot to mention we picked up Pete (guy from oxford really nice) in canberra (he missed the bus from sydney haha) and he became part of our possy. so me, him, a dutch anda french girl were sharing a dorm, sorry, apartment. yes it was indeed luxury. i had a double bed (i prefer singles i think..weird) they had a shower, a little getting ready bit, a sink, a kettle, a balcony, oh my god i was so so happy, almost didnt leave for dinner, but it was free, which means u dont miss it. was actually a pretty cool night playing pool (or in my case watching pool) and checking out the huge amounts of boys (4 to one ratio in ski villages). went to bed early, erly start to go sledging next day yeeehaaa! so yeh sledging (we soon got removed being informed it was closed) was good fun, first glimpse of snow (now sick of it in NZ). stayed the night in some weirds buddah place and did a meditation thing but i spent the whole night wondering where my IPOD could possibly be. lit a bonfire, met a random monk lady who lived in BRAMHALL!!!! and went to CHEADLE HULME SCHOOL i was like oh my god, that cheered me up. then we lit a bonfire (i saw a snake!!- well i think i did) and yep off to bed (very cold room :( ..)
getting annoyed now cause i cant remmebr wher we stayed the third night...ok ive given up trying to remembe rso ill jsut write about a few more highlights. went hopping in a field with wild kangaroos, there weer laods of them..mental. then we went to 90 mile beach (88miles long) and played catch. went wine tasting and got drunk (typical) it was so funny. the guy said we weer the funnest group hes had in ages. we ended up playing the piano and messing around. it was sucha good wine tasting thing. the staff were cool adn we got lunch at the end of it. ben threw a glass of water over himself to prove he was spontaneous. ledgend.
arrival to melbourne (because for the life of me i cant remeber where we stayed on night 3) stayed in a place in the centre. tried to have a 'mad' ngiht out which ended up in the group splitting up and us back at the hostel watching the football. aussie game, they lost, very upset. next day we did extreme tourism, dodging from a tv museum, to fed square, to the art gallery to the best place in the worls-victoria markets, free gorgeous food. my favourite kind. walked around town a bit more and intended to go to a jazz bar that night. failed and went to bed. kate did my hair. ledgend. i now have no roots (well little ones) which is so good cause people had actually started to comment on the state of it (rude aussies!)...
met up with adam and dan the next day and we did some quality walking around then i moved to st kilda which is a cute place outside of melbourne. flew the next day to NZ. absolutely bloody freezing.
