Hey everyone! Thought id post on here as I havent done so yet and Ive done so much!
The flight to Singapore was horrible and cramped but had loads of space on the flight from Singapore to Sydney which was good! Landed at 7am Australian time (8pm at home) and went straight to the hostel. Spent most of the day on monday at Bondi Beach. Breath taking! Was beautiful and not too busy. spent the evening in a bar right next to my hostel but had an early night due to jetlag.
Tuesday was the first day that I met everyone from the trip. We went to Sydneys centre point tower for lunch which is 1094m tall! I tried Kangaroo which was pretty much like beef with a bit of a weirder aftertaste and tried crocodile sausages which were nasty! After lunch we headed to Paddys market which is a bit like a shopping centre and managed to find a few bargins :) Spent the evening in 2 different bars and met lots of new people, everyone in Sydney is so friendly!
Wednesday (today) I went on a winetasting trip with the group. managed to drink every single sample including the port and white chocolate liquor (WHICH was like heaven!). I also went to a national park (cant remember the name of it though) and saw golden orb spiders that were about 2inches wide in theyre natural habitat. Then went to a denser part of the park and saw wild kangaroos! Theyre about 6ft tall and HUGE but beautiful.
Tomorrow I have a surf lesson :/ but ill let you know how that goes soon!
