Looks pretty conclusive to me, I'm convinced. Nessie lives and you were lucky to escape with dry clothes.

Thanks for the link Uncle PC. Really interesting to look at, specially as we are not getting any coverage at all over here now. Steina's Mum and Dad have been feeling quite a number of the quakes in Timaru, mostly those over 4M. Have you heard how Carol and Alex are?
Uncle Pc
Looks like the fun continues over in Scotland though keeping your heads above water must be difficult at times without legs. I'm looking forward to the Loch Ness monster photos.
If you want a different look at the Christchurch quakes try http://www.christchurchquakemap.co.nz/ It runs a time lapse of the larger shakes showing size location and depth. Scroll back (wider map) see other shakes elsewhere as well.

WOW! thats a lot! Impressive! Everyday is a crazyhair day for me but i dont get any money for it, or a crunchie. Lately I have been getting quite a bit of chocolate though. We havent heard a great on the news over here about the earthquakes - a little bit at the start but not about the aftershocks. If it wasnt for txts from Dad and Grannie, and from Steina's mum we wouldnt have heard much. Some people have asked us about the earthquakes though, once they have realised we are NZ'ers. Other than this it is "bang bang" cool over here. We finally are back where we have internet so we need to do a big catchup on the blog pretty soon. Say hello to everyone. Bye.
Katie
Hi Hamish, today we had a crazy hair day. in our room Jess, Georgia and Kaylamonique won a crunchie for their hair. It was to raise money for the Christchurch earthquake. We earned $130.40c. bye

Hi there, we have now seen TV coverage over here of the damage in ChCh. It has made international headlines and reports on the BBC now. We will look for a newspaper today. How so so lucky everyone has been that there were no fatalities. We are thinking so much of NZ at the moment. Glad that everyone we know is OK. Love to everyone from the Travelling Trio.

We were awakened at 4.35 am Saturday 4 September 2010 by a 7.1 magnitude earthquake centred 30 km west of Christchurch (near Darfield) at a depth of 10 kms. It lasted for almost a minute and the house was really moving and shaking. In the last 12 hours we have had about 30 after shocks ranging from 3.9 - 5.4 in magnitude although we have not been aware of all of these. There is a state of emergency declared in Christchurch as there is quite a lot of damage there. Here in Timaru I think we have been very lucky.

Hi Jess and Justice
We rekcon we did - have a look at the earlier post. We've been told to show our photo to the papers. Its not a great photo, but its an interesting photo. That one isnt on the blog yet though. How's school going? Got a lot of homework? I'm a bit behind with mine, LOL. I'm going to post all the answers to my sheets and write what sheets they were so when we get those sheets we can just come up here and get the answers. I knew I'd find a way Miss Macfie!
