Thirteen hour train journey has been succesfully completed. Turned out to be good especially as we had a four bed cabin to ourselves the whole way. Saw some nice views including loads of paddy fields and arrived in Hue at 2am - luckily hotel was still open. We have explored the city today. It is right on the border of the old north/south divide of the Vietnam War and was heavily bombed by the Americans. Thankfully it is warmer than Hanoi. Probably heading south again tomorrow to Danang.
