Arrived here yesterday, we haven't been able to do anything bcuz of the flooding. Nearly 2 metres deep in some areas. We've had a walk around half off the town and jumped in a long tail boat to see some of the rest of the town that we can't get to bcuz of the flooding. Such a shame and we literally can't do anything, all day trips are the other side of the town across the river and you can't get there. So sad to see people's shops completely ruined and makes me realise how lucky we have got it. Although we did have a nice massage and tried on some gorgeous dresses. Once we got on the bus, I realised I left my tubing jumper in one of the shops, we still had half an hour until the bus was leaving, so I grabbed my phone and headed towards the shop. I didn't realise it was actually a lot further than I thought, and my jumper wasn't even there. I only had ten minutes to get back to the bus, so I start running not realising I went left instead of right. I finally realise i have no idea where I am and Dani is still on our bus. I start asking people if they know which way to go, bearing in mind the bus station is flooded so the buses are picking up somewhere different and all I know is it's around the corner from a night club on the main road, no one seems to speak any English or have any idea what I'm talking about. Then luckily while im asking a lady, a local guy comes over and says he knows the nightclub, so he begins walking and I explain we need to run before I miss my bus, he laughs and points at his bike. A good 2-3 minutes later we arrive at my bus. I was no where near! I thanked him so much and tried to give him some money which he wouldn't accept. There are still some awesome people in this world :))
