so i'm in puerto viejo, costa rica...southern carribean side...def. a different culture over here...lots of reggae and rasta. good seafood and we got waves this week for the first time in two years...God has blessed me with waves for over 90% of my time down here. i'm so thankful. waves have been really big and i broke my first board yesterday..but i can get it fixed for 50 bucks. better the board than my neck. i stayed for a few days in playa hermosa last week..a small surf town where the mountains meet the beach...theres only enough room between them for a two land road and a row of buildings on each side...world class waves and a good vibe. i'm heading to panama for the weekend...bocas del torros and then back to costa rica and into nicaragua next week. no plans about them until july 7th when i meet russ and katie mohr in guatamala where they are visiting their soon to be adopted child. i'm so glad to be out on the road traveling again...seeing new scenery and people. its a struggle right now to only have a month or so left and trying to get in all the places i want. i feel i may have to either stay longer or come back again. 5 mins left. i met a couple other guys last week and we've been traveling together and will probably continue with one of the guys until early july...its nice to travel with people but i wish i could be experiencing this with my brother gregg...i think you'd love it down here. i love hearing from all of you so please send me emails with your stories. forgive me if you have emailed me lately and i could only send a short one back...internet can be a rip-off here. pura vida rob
