Thursday 26 October 2006 - Darwin City Ventured into Darwin City and spent the day booking tours, planning what we were going to do! Met up with Sel and Beth and walked down to Mundil Beach Night Market (the last one of the year). Lots of stalls selling clothes and jewellrey as well didgeridoos! Even more stalls selling food. Wednesday 25 October 2006 - Arriving in Australia Flew into Sydney where Ellie somehow volunteered (looking up at the wrong moment!) to get searched for traces of explosives! She was clear! 3hour wait then back on board to Darwin (longer flight than NZ to Australia!) Stepped off the plane and got blasted by the hot air, you wouldn't think it was 11.30pm! Shuttle bus to the Cavenagh Hostel, thank god for air con!

Sunday 22 October 2006 - Diamond Harbour Got to Diamond Harbour, where Alan grew up. Got our icecreams and made our way down to the harbour where you can catch a boat to Lyttleton. Drove up and crossed the paddock full of sheep! (used to be a golf course) and took a walk up to try and get a glimpse of Alan's old house. Saturday 21 October 2006 - Christchurch City Early bus into Christchurch City starting at Cathedral Square (Christchurch's focal point!).  Saw the Cathedral, the Chalice and the market.  Went on City Walk number 1, Ellie playing tour guide!!
