Today we started a bit earlier. Went to Madison meadows in yellowstone. Cute little area of the park that had an outdoor amphitheater. Today is memorial day in America. Went past 2 guys in uniform having a photo under the flag. Big day for the nation. Drove from yellowstone to grand teton national park. Was a lot prettier today with all the sun. Some beautiful lakes. Seen deer, biason, coyote, squirles, ravens, canadian geese and we're on the look out for bears. Stopped in at a cute church called the church of sacred heart. All made out of big logs. We could resist stopping considering we all went to SHGC together. Carried on south. Walked around Lake Jenny. It was a 11.4km walk. Not too hard as it was all flat but was a bit scary.
We were told a bear was seen walking through the carpark this morning. A couple of times we heard a rattle, we're a bit worried it could have been a snake but carried on. Seen a elk with a newly born baby, some yuk looking beavers likes and even a moose with its baby right next to the track. Amazing to see the animals in the wild but scary as we don't know how to deal with a bear or any other animal that would attack us. Carried on to a cute little town called Jackson. All wooden, with hunting themed stuff. In the town square they had made arches out of elk antlers. Decided to not travel the extra hour to our campground and travelled to Rocksprings. Got to Rocksprings in time to go to the movie Pitch Perfect 2. Great movie! So many stupid laughs. Then parked up in a super walmart. At least 6 other camper vans here. Feels nice and safe again!
