Woke up, went to Walmart to do shopping. Went to the local pools for a swim and a shower. The first for 5 days.  Felt amazing after. Then went to a laundry mat to clean all our clothes. Here I think a filling fell out of my tooth. A lot of pain when I bite down. Going to have to find a dentist somewhere. Managed to get mum to sort out my cashpasport.  Then travelled up to Yellowstone National Park. Travelled through Idaho to Montana. Parked up and made another ...

Got up and said goodbye to our San Diego neighbours. And left for a long road trip at 8am.  Finally brought our season vehicle pass for the national parks. It only cost $80 which is a bloody bargain!!!! Travelled on the Tiago road, beautiful scenery.  At the top it , 9000 feet, it started snowing on us. Along the way we seen them tarsealing the road. They literally just get trucks to dump the tar on top of the old road and this big machine follows flattening it...

Meet our neighbours at the campground. A really lovely couple from San Diego. We then headed off to meet Georgia, Rebecca, Kirstie and Remai. It wasn't long before we realised our mistake. We had arranged to meet them at the Yosemite valley visitors centre. We thought this was a 2 minute walk from our camp. But it was actually a 40 minute drive. Up early as we were woken by everyone going to the Starbucks near us for early morning coffees.  We went there for a drink, teeth brushing, undie changing and much needed WiFi. On the road nice and early to get to Sarah. Great feeling to surprise her at 10 am in the morning after her having a late night. She didn't know we were coming for the weekend at all. Early start.  Drove back to LA where we dropped off our rental car and picked up our Escape rental van.  I love it already.  It's looks a bit like the Scooby-Doo van. Stopped off in Ventura for  the burger joint "in and out".
