So we decided to avoid the 17 hour bus journey to Sydney from Brisbane and we thought it would be more fun to hire a car and have ourselves a wee roadtrip so off we went. We listened to the proclaimers a lot haha. and our first stop was Coffs harbour (home of the big banana) which is a nice wee town where we stayed the night and had a few drinks before hitting the road again the next day where we took in more scenery and easy driving before stopping for the night in Newcastle. The next day we headed up to the northern beaches of Sydney with the main highlight being Palm beach where home and away was filmed. We also saw the surf club. We then eheaded down to Manly (Fion and Lori will find that funny lol) wher we had lunch and then headed out to the blue mountain national park for the night. It felt a lot like Scotland with the scenery and the cold wet night. Unfortunately the mist was really bad so we didnt see a lot of the mountains but luckily when the mist lifted the next day we saw the bue haze from the eucalyptus trees hit the mountains. was quite spectacular. We headed to the Jenolan caves and visited the Temple of Baal which was amazing. Definitely one of the highlights of our trip so far. It as full of amazing rock formations, staligtites and other amazing ice sculptures. (photos will be uploaded soon) We then conntinued on to Canberra. Australias Capital City to spend a night before hitting Sydney itsself.
