Back to beautiful weather. We went to Cahoon Hollow Beach which has huge dunes you have to navigate down. After playing ocean side for a bit we went to Great Pond. There's a long wooden staircase you take down to the crystal clear water and white sand. The water is warm and fresh. Went home to get Gigi then dropped the boys off at the head of the Rail Trail. Loaded up the bikes again and drive to Chatham. Parked at the lot near the visitors center and hopped on the bike trail. Rode into Chatham and went to fisherman's wharf. Watched dogfish sharks being unloaded by fishermen and all the seals following them. Took a ride on Chatham Harbor Tour boat out to sand bar and around harbor to see seals and beautiful houses. 1hr tour cost $20 adults, $15 kids. Rode to main St and had sandwiches at Chatham Cafe. The only rainy day of the trip. Spent much of the day in playing games, working on the puzzle, listening to music. We watched Jaws which was very appropriate with all the sharks in the area. We went for a drive to Provincetown where we walked on the jetty and checked out the town. Once the rain stopped, we went to The Gut beach out on Cape Cod Bay. Sammy's 10th birthday! Walked to town over Uncle Tim's Bridge & got our parking pass. Ate sandwiches at home for lunch and had triple chocolate birthday cake. Parked our car at head of Cape Cod Rail Trail and rode to Marconi Beach. Had fun playing on the very large pool left behind from high tide. Took all of our showers in the outdoor shower-loved it!
