We entered Austria this morning, but no extra stamp in the passport :( .
Had a lovely day yesterday in Passau, a tour in the morning and the afternoon free to roam. These medieval towns are a delight. Despite the flooding in April, which was the worst ever in their history, the town is charming, colourful and interesting. guides are locals, usually university students studying history or art, so they know their stuff. Reg has also commented that they are very easy on the eye too !
Today we tour the Abbey at melk, then on to Vienna tomorrow. We continue to meet very interesting people, on and off the boat. Yesterday we chatted to an Austrian who was visiting passau for the day on "holiday "
We should have no more issues with the locks as the strikes were confined to Germany.
