Summer is already off to a roaring start! We finished school on the 4th of July, well they did I finished on the 30th of April because they had tests and exams, so I have 4 1/2 months off! Last week was my birthday, I had an amazing day, certainly one to remember, I slept in then talked to some people from home then when Cecilia came home she came with flowers and a card that said "Dear Rebecca, Happy 16th birthday! Near the end of April we had a music festival in a park in Parma and it was a very nice day, I went with Sara, Irene, Martina and Guilia and of course Cecilia. On Monday we had some sad news in our town. A 25 year old friend of my host family was riding her bike across the road in the square and a big truck came around he corner and hit her and killed her. Was extremely sad news, she was supposed to be eating married next summer. Was a big funeral

This week on Tuesday I have a test on Ireland... Didn't go as bad as I thought it would but I didn't understand half the questions so will be interesting to see how it goes. This week we have Saturday off because it's the day German stopped invading Italy in world war 2... So strange that it's the same day as ANZAC day!
