At sea again! We're in the middle of an 8 day stretch sailing from Japan to Hawaii and I've offered to help paddle if it will get us home faster. Yes, I'm ready to go home. There's nothing specifically good, or bad, and that's the problem. Its just nothing! I feel so removed from everything purposeful.
Anyways...enough complaining. I will be home in 3 weeks and who knows that that will bring. It is uncertain but at least it will be mine! I will have control over when I do my laundry, what I eat for lunch, how and with who I spend my time. The past few days have been very busy on board but that hasn't seemed to help. The other night, KP and I managed to pull of a very successful Students Of Service fundraising auction. After lots of planning and stress, it all paid off and we raised over $20,000! Can you believe the wealth that is on this ship? Over $20,000....ahhhhh. We did our job and had a nice time celebrating at the end of the night. Sitting up in the F/S Lounge with KP and Amanda that night was one of the better nights I can remember in quite a while. I also got to dress up and received many compliments. It'd been awhile and I don't think many people on board had ever even really seen me in a dress with hair and make-up done.
Other than that, as we head closer to Hawaii, the weather is starting to warm up again, we've crossed the International Dateline, and have been losing an hour on the clock each night which totally catches up with you. Tonight there was a Passover Sedar on board which, complete with matzo and Maneschewitz, was nice! It was good to observe the holiday but I missed spending the time with my family, breaking out the old Jewish cookbooks and creating something fun.
Over these months, there have been people who we keep in touch daily, others every once in a while, and some friends who I haven't heard from at all. I hope that the last 80 or so days have been good to you and look forward to catching up soon.
P.S. I fell down the stairs on the ship earlier today. Not fun!
We shall not cease from exploration, and the end of all our exploring will be to arrive where we started and know the place for the first time.

What we call the beginning is often the end. And to make an end is to make a beginning. The end is where we start from.
