Another picture for Jim. The glare is bad here, but this is another bike shop I came across, to the south of the hostel on Guayaquil. Innocent enough. I thought the price tag read $15.79 for the bike on the left. However, that turned out to be the "per month", financed costs. They're picking up American tendencies. Get 'em to buy it, the payments are low!! The problem is, the true cost of the bike on the far left (appears to be good quality) was actually $279.00! I truly don't know how anyone here could afford it. That is without establishing a revolving account where you pay for the bike for 10 years... oh well.
