Well, I FINALLY arrived on the 3rd August. Wow! What a mammoth flight! I am only just starting to feel remotely human again. Sleep patterns are all over the place and now I truely know I have never properly had jet lag before!
I made the journey from the airport to Manly in one piece and all on my own! I managed to find the flat that I am sharing with Kat and Amy, until Amy moves out when her visa expires next month. I am settling in nicely and am enjoying some winter sun. It's been 20 degreesC and it's still winter. Went out into Manly at the weekend. It was really nice. A good mix of people, places to drink and places to eat. Kat and Amy have been a great help. I've already got myself an Australian phone and bank account and have had an interview confirmed for next Thusday.
I've walked around Manly in the day and have been spending my evenings with the girls. Manly is a 30 minute ferry ride from the city, but when I got the ferry on the way over it's right from the harbour where the bridge and the opera house are. Beautiful, except that it was raining and grey, so stubbornly I wouldn't take any photos. I'm going into the city on Friday though and it's supposed to be nice weather, so just hang on!!
